Downey Insulation was founded in 2015 by a Downey-area contractor who had seen enough homeowners overpay for insulation work that was done halfway. Most of the homes in this part of Los Angeles were built in the 1950s and 1960s - and most of them were still running on the same thin insulation they had on the day they were built. The summers here are long and hot, and under-insulated homes pay for it every month on the electricity bill.
The business started small - focused on residential insulation in Downey and the surrounding cities. Word spread because the work was done right, the pricing was fair, and the crew showed up when they said they would. Over the years that reputation carried the company into neighboring communities: Compton, Norwalk, Bellflower, South Gate, and beyond - until we were serving 12 cities across the Los Angeles County area.
